I admit, I’m rarely content in my life. I’m so guilty of wanting what others have, whether it’s a job [being at home for days on end SUCKS!], more money, less debt, fancy ’stuff’, more friends, better relationships… you get the picture. And just when I think I’ve conquered one issue, another sneaks up on me. It can be so hard to watch your neighbors, friends, family, even perfect strangers get or have what you feel you lack – whether or not you actually do, and whether or not you need it.
I’ve come across a lot of advice concerning this lack of contentment, but so far, I haven’t been able to embrace it and make it work for me. I try, and as quickly as I can come to terms with it, something else slithers its way in and upsets my new-found balance. But I hate jealousy and envy, it’s incredibly unproductive and makes enjoying what I do have much more difficult. So I’ve decided to make it my mission for 2010 to do whatever I can to move away from the discontent.
With that, here’s a post from a blog I love, Organizing Your Way from their “31 Days of Organizing for a Better 2010″ series, Enjoy Life to the Fullest. While it’s from back in January, it offers good advice for handling these problems and being a happier person.
I will be searching out more articles and other resources to help me make my way through this journey, and as I find good ones, I’ll be sure to share them here, so you can use them, too!
Do you have suggestions for how to deal with envy, jealousy, or how to be more content in life? I would love to hear them!

Hi Christina!
What an honest, transparent post! I think it’s something we all struggle with, and I think it’s great that you’re determined to tackle it head on.
Can’t wait to read more about what you find and the progress you make!
